How to reduce and prevent unauthorized card transactions?

If you encounter unauthorized transactions on your OwnBank Card, please immediately lock your card by navigating to All Services - Payment - OwnCard - Lock Card in the OwnBank APP. After confirming the card lock, contact our official customer service for assistance.

To reduce the risk of unauthorized transactions and enhance the security of your account, follow these preventive measures.

Preventive Measures:

1. Apply for CVV Replacement:

  • If you notice unusual card transactions, immediately lock your card and then contact OwnBank customer service to request a CVV replacement.

2. Periodically Change Your OwnBank PIN:

  • Periodically change your PIN by navigating to Personal Center - Security - Change PIN in the OwnBank APP. Do not disclose your PIN to others.

3. Use Secure Payment Channels:

  • Ensure that the website uses HTTPS encryption when making online payments with your OwnCard.

4. Monitor Your Account:

  • Regularly check your OwnCard transaction details and promptly contact OwnBank if you notice any suspicious transactions.

5. Enable Notification Services:

  • Activate OwnBank's transaction notification service to receive real-time updates on your transactions.

6. Protect Personal Information:

  • Do not disclose your OwnCard information indiscriminately, and avoid clicking on suspicious links or downloading unknown attachments.

7. Update Software:

  • Ensure that the antivirus software and operating systems on your computer and mobile devices are up to date to prevent malware attacks.
